10 OF 2012: T-HAUS

 10 of 2012

This is not a Top 10 list & none of the following tunes are in any particular order.  This is a collection of 10 tracks that I personally connected with on an emotional level during 2012.  Each of these tracks reminds me of a place, a person or an event of this year through connections I made between my life & the music I was listening to at the time.  The list is wholly subjective & though I am sure I have missed out many of the the most popular tracks of the year, as well as many great tracks I have appreciated, hopefully my selection gives some idea of the soundtrack behind my 2012.

JAY HAZE feat. BIG BULLY & SVEN VT – Soul In A Bottle (Jonas Woehl Remix) [Get Physical]

THE MEKANISM – Missing Love [NeedWant]

MATTHEW DEKAY & LEE BURRIDGE – Lost In A Moment [Innervisions]

MOODY- Why Do U Feel [KDJ]

CHAOS IN THE CBD – I’m Losing You [Youngunz]

OMAR S Feat LRENEE – S.E.X. (Conant Gardens Posse Remix) [FXHE]

MIC NEWMAN – Knickerbocker – Mark E Dub [Tsuba]

ANDREW ASHONG & THEO PARRISH – Flowers [Signature Sounds]

CHRIS MALINCHAK – If U Got It [French Express]

FRANK WIEDMANN & RY CUMING – Howling (Âme Remix) [Innervisions]

Great stuff. Long live the 808!

For my money you must check John Tejada’s “The Function and the Form” on Kompakt (don’t dip, listen from start to finish). Metallic jam with soul. Stings the nose, in a good way.

A nostril stinger you say? I’m intrigued… John Tejada has got to be one of my favourite artists, don’t know how I didn’t get round to listening but will get my hands on a copy. Thanks for the reminder!
